Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site

With a commanding view from atop a bluff, Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site is one of the best representations of early 20th Century sensibilities in the Midwest. Walk through the 31-room, 12,000-square-foot lodge built atop two natural caves by Sedalia lawyer John Homer Bothwell. You will marvel at the owner’s eclectic tastes and how a country gentlemen furnished a recreational lodge for himself and his friends. Most of the furnishings in the house are original. Daum Museum of Contemporary Art

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, located on the State Fair Community College campus in Sedalia, Missouri, opened in 2002. The museum acquires, preserves, and shows works of art from the modern and contemporary periods, and it has a diverse permanent collection. Each year, they have three exhibition cycles and up to 15 shows. Gunn & Smith Architects of St. Louis, Missouri, designed the museum, which has nine exhibition halls on three levels with a total size of 9,300 square feet. – Source daummuseum.org
The Sedalia Katy Depot

The Katy Depot, which was built in 1896 as a fully functional railroad station, now serves as Sedalia’s official welcome center and is home to the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce, the Sedalia Convention and Visitors Bureau, railroad heritage exhibits, The Depot Store, and a trailhead to the Katy Trail State Park.
